What is Occlusal Disease?

Dr. Baczara is trained in diagnosing and treating Occlusal Disease. During your initial visit Dr. Baczara will be able to recognize the need for further evaluation and recommend treatment, if necessary.

According to Dr. Peter Dawson, the founder of the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Education, Occlusal Disease is the most ignored problem in dentistry. Majority of dentists are not experts in occlusion and only a few of them are trained to diagnose and treat Occlusal Disease.

The signs of Occlusal Disease are often ignored, since pain and discomfort usually accompany the later, more advanced stages of the disease.

The longer you ignore the signs, the more advanced the damage becomes and the harder it is to fix properly.

Often damaged teeth are capped, removed and replaced, or refilled. But that’s usually only a quick fix. The problem still remains, so it’s only a matter of time before the teeth begin to deteriorate again.
